A Bit About Rebekah

Rebekah, originally from Ipswich, England, grew up in a Christian family alongside her two sisters and brother. She studied philosophy, drama, and health and social care, a combination that eventually took her to Nepal to teach children. That experience left a lasting impact and sparked a deep passion for supporting young people, particularly in communities affected by conflict. Her heart is to help children and youth discover their identity, worth, and sense of purpose.

In 2023, at the age of 18, Rebekah first came to Lebanon to take part in a Discipleship Training School (DTS). It was a formative season that helped deepen her faith and gave her a clearer understanding of herself and her values. She quickly developed a strong connection to Lebanon, drawn in by the warmth of the people, the richness of the culture, and the sense of purpose she found here. After a year back in the UK working as a barista, she felt a clear sense of calling to return to Lebanon, this time to serve as part of the ASR team.

Bekah is passionate about building meaningful relationships and journeying with others through the highs and lows of life. She finds joy in football, both playing and watching, going for walks at sunrise or sunset, and spending time by the sea, where she feels most at peace and connected.
